Rules for the Yamame Fishing Pond 1.The JPY 3,000 fee allows you to catch up to 3 fish. 2.From the 4th fish onward, an additional JPY 800 per fish will be charged. 3.If you cannot catch any fish, we will guarantee 2 fish. 4.Catch-and-release is not allowed. (Do not release fish once caught.) 5.You can exchange each fish you catch for salt-grilled yamame for JPY 200 per fish. |
About Yamame Fishing
Every year during the Golden Week holidays, we hold our popular annual event, the “Yamame Fishing Festival.” After the festival, you can continue enjoying yamame fishing until late October.
All necessary equipment, including fishing rods, is included in the fee—so feel free to come empty-handed. This is the most popular activity at Shiraito no Taki and is easy to enjoy even for first-time visitors, including women and children.
Even if you don’t manage to catch three fish, we guarantee two fish, so you can relax and enjoy the experience with peace of mind.
